Object of the game

Move the discs of differing diameters from the starting tower to the finishing tower, by way of the middle tower, in as few moves as possible. The difficulty lies in the rules: you may only move one disc at a time, and you may only place a disc on a larger disc or on an empty tower. You can start the game with 3 discs to get going. For the bolder, go straight to 6 discs: it is then possible to move from one tower to the other in 64 moves at most.
