Wooden Barricade – a strategic, teasing family game

Barricade is a family game where you move your pieces forward while trapping your opponents with movable barricades — 1 to 4 players, for the whole family.

The perfect game for winding up your opponents

😈 Here, moving forward is not enough: you also have to block the others.

Barricade is a family game where every white piece can become a strategic weapon. As soon as a player picks up a barricade, they can place it to slow their opponents down.

Why it sets off fits of laughter

There is always someone who becomes the target, someone who complains, and someone who fully owns being merciless. It is that mix of strategy and bad faith that makes the game so lively.

To play with family or friends

Playable by 1 to 4 players, it works very well over the holidays, at Christmas or on a games afternoon.

A classic worth rediscovering

Simple to understand, but tactical enough to create genuinely animated games.

Aim of the game

Bring a piece of your colour to the last square, using a die. But watch out: along the way you will find white barricades, placed on the red squares at the start of the game. To get past a barricade, you must roll exactly the number of moves needed to land on the barricade's square. That is when things get interesting, because once your piece stands where the barricade was, you can place that barricade on any square of the board to block your opponent. Are you the alliance type? Or merciless towards everyone? That is up to you — but remember it is war, and any means is fair to win the battle.
